Climate Change and Climate Gentrification

Throughout Canada, communities of color are disproportionately affected by climate change. Lower-income earning areas of residence always rank highly in places that are at risk for projected losses because of industrial fumes and pollution, poor waste disposal as well as rising sea levels. As the sea-level rise increases, areas of higher ground are always sought after by developers, which leaves residents especially low-income areas and renters — vulnerable to being priced out of their homes.

FAD FOUNDATION  is leading a campaign for clean energy, climate equity, and sustainability. We strongly believe that both public & private sector efforts must be made to engage all communities (rural and urban) in climate resiliency.  FAD FOUNDATION strongly supports a transition to a 100% clean energy environment so as to build a sustainable future for all humanity.

Our ultimate goal is to allow both frontlines (rural and urban) communities to participate in the clean energy revolution by dramatically improving access. We lobby and advocate for affordable energy efficiency (building insulation, windows, roofs, ACs) for low-income residents and homeowners.
