Affordable Housing

As the population grows and housing prices escalate, it’s fast becomes more costly and stressful for the middle class and lower-income earning people to afford rent and house payments. As a result, a worryingly growing proportion of Canadians are spending more than one-third of their income for housing alone thus unable to break out of the poverty bracket.

FAD FOUNDATION is strongly advocating to eliminate corporate giveaways to developers that are undesirably leading to rapid gentrification and displacement of black, brown, and colored communities.  FAD FOUNDATION is lobbying and advocating for formal and humane rent control so as to keep minority communities in their neighborhoods.
