Friends of Africa Mission
Building informed partnerships, meaningful exchange, and shared progress between Africa and North America.
At FAD Foundation, Friends of Africa Mission is a platform for connection, understanding, and collaboration. We believe stronger relationships between Africa and North America are built through informed engagement, mutual respect, shared learning, and practical partnership. Through this initiative, we seek to deepen understanding of Africa’s realities, strengths, opportunities, and priorities while encouraging constructive collaboration among public, private, and civil society stakeholders who are interested in meaningful engagement with the continent.
A Bridge of Understanding and Partnership
Africa is home to immense talent, innovation, resilience, cultural richness, and development opportunity. Yet for many stakeholders outside the continent, understanding is often shaped by distance, outdated assumptions, or limited direct engagement. Friends of Africa Mission exists to help close that gap. We promote informed exchange, responsible dialogue, and practical partnerships that support learning, trust-building, and long-term cooperation between Africa and North America. Our belief is simple: stronger understanding leads to stronger partnerships, and stronger partnerships can contribute to more sustainable and community-centred outcomes.
